Notification Policy

This Notification Policy describes how Unleeshed ("we," "us," or "our") communicates with users of the Unleeshed platform through email, in-app notifications, and SMS text messages. This policy applies to all users who have created an account on the Unleeshed platform.

1. Notification Channels

Unleeshed uses the following channels to communicate with our users:

Email Notifications

We send email notifications for account-related updates, commentary status changes, connection requests, and platform announcements. Email notifications are enabled by default and can be managed in your Account Settings.

In-App Notifications

In-app notifications appear within the Unleeshed platform interface. These include connection requests, debate invitations, commentary updates, and other activity alerts. In-app notifications are enabled by default and can be managed in your Account Settings.

SMS Text Messages

We offer SMS text message notifications as an optional communication channel for creators on the Unleeshed platform. SMS notifications are not enabled by default and require explicit opt-in consent from the user.

2. SMS Messaging Program

Program Description

The Unleeshed SMS notification program allows creators to receive text message alerts related to their commentary creation and publishing activity on the platform. This is an optional service designed to keep creators informed about their content in real time.

Message Types

When opted in, you may receive the following types of SMS messages:

• Commentary Alerts: Notifications about your commentary status, approvals, and publishing updates.
• Session Updates: Updates about your SMS commentary sessions and content creation progress.
• Product Updates & Tips: Occasional messages about new features, platform tips, and relevant updates (requires separate opt-in).

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your activity on the platform and the notification types you have enabled. Typically, you may receive between 1 and 20 messages per week depending on your commentary creation activity. You control which message types you receive through your Account Settings.

3. SMS Opt-In Process

How to Opt In

To receive SMS notifications, you must take the following steps:

1. Navigate to Account Settings in the Unleeshed app.
2. Select the Notifications tab.
3. Enable the SMS / Mobile Notifications toggle.
4. Enter your mobile phone number (including country code).
5. Select which types of SMS notifications you wish to receive.
6. Read and check the SMS Messaging Consent checkbox, which states:

Consent Records

When you opt in to SMS notifications, we record the following information for compliance and audit purposes:

• The date and time of your opt-in
• Your IP address at the time of opt-in
• The method used to opt in (web form)
• The phone number you provided

4. How to Opt Out

You can opt out of SMS notifications at any time using any of the following methods:

Method 1: Reply STOP

Reply STOP to any SMS message you receive from Unleeshed. You will receive a confirmation message and no further SMS messages will be sent.

Method 2: Account Settings

Navigate to Account Settings > Notifications in the Unleeshed app and disable the SMS / Mobile Notifications toggle. Click Save Preferences to confirm your opt-out.

Method 3: Contact Support

Email us at support@unleeshed.ai with the subject line "SMS Opt-Out" and include the phone number you wish to remove. We will process your request within 24 hours.

Re-Opting In

If you previously opted out and wish to receive SMS notifications again, you can:

• Reply START to any previous Unleeshed message, or
• Re-enable SMS notifications in your Account Settings and agree to the consent terms again.

5. Message and Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply to SMS messages sent to and from Unleeshed, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. Unleeshed does not charge any fees for SMS notifications, but your carrier's standard messaging rates will apply.

We are not responsible for any charges incurred by your mobile carrier in connection with SMS messages sent or received through our platform.

6. Supported Carriers

SMS notifications are supported on most major U.S. mobile carriers including but not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, and their MVNOs. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

7. Privacy and Data Use

Your phone number and SMS consent information are collected and stored solely for the purpose of delivering the SMS notification services you have opted in to. We do not:

• Sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes
• Use your phone number for purposes other than the notification types you selected
• Share your opt-in consent data with third parties, except as required by law

Your phone number is transmitted to our SMS service provider (Twilio) solely for message delivery. For more information about how we handle your data, please review our Privacy Policy.

8. Help and Support

For assistance with SMS notifications:

• Reply HELP to any Unleeshed SMS message for immediate assistance.
• Email us at support@unleeshed.ai.
• Visit your Account Settings > Notifications page to manage your preferences.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Notification Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If we make material changes to how we handle SMS notifications, we will notify affected users via email or in-app notification before the changes take effect.

The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was most recently revised.
